Balencea Bar & Restaurant in conjunction with www.eutopia.com.au presents Maison Tardieu Laurent, one of the Rhone Valley’s rising stars.
The Rhone Valley is the spiritual home of the Shiraz (Syrah) Grape and produces arguably the world’s finest Shiraz and Grenache. If you like full bodied red wines then this night is for you, experience the wines from one of the region’s hottest winemakers – Maison Tardieu Laurent.
This three course dinner will compare the precise and intense wines of the cooler Northern Rhone with the opulence and power of the Mediterranean Southern Rhone. A brace of lesser known but outstanding white wines will start proceedings, namely Hermitage Blanc and Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc representing the North and South. The next two courses will explore some of the region’s most famous red wine appellations including Cornas, Gigondas and Chateauneuf du Pape.

Great wines which I’ll be adding to my ‘buy some’ list. Looking forward to the next one. Cheers, Moira
